Mifflin Crossover (New Interlocking)

Description

The objective of this project is to install a new crossover to allow trains on the siding track to bypass the existing track scale, effectively creating a new 15,700’ usable siding for train meets. This will increase flexibility for Amtrak and freight trains to use the siding track and mitigate delays to Amtrak trains due to conflicts with other trains near Lewistown station.

Specifically, a new power crossover will be installed. This will include construction of a new interlocking and associated civil, track, and site work.
