Johnstown (East) Interlocking Reconfiguration Project at Control Point C
Description
The objective of this project is to rebuild CP C interlocking in Johnstown, PA with improved crossovers, turnouts, and signaling. This will provide a more efficient configuration through the interlocking and will increase train speeds through the interlocking for both Amtrak and freight trains.
Specifically, new power crossovers, turnouts, and wayside signals will be installed. Additional track, signal, and civil site work is also anticipated to support the interlocking reconfiguration.
